$25-$35/hr DOEWe are recruiting for a Quality Inspector for a high precision machining manufacturing company in Ayer, MA.
Your primary responsibilities will be to ensure precision-machined parts and components meet the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with production teams, utilizing your expertise in inspection techniques and quality control processes to guarantee the delivery of top-notch products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of precision-machined parts and components using various measurement tools and equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, etc.
Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including measurements, specifications, and any non-conformance issues.
Generate inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) to ensure that newly manufactured parts conform to engineering drawings and customer requirements.
Monitor and inspect parts during various stages of the machining process to identify and address issues promptly.
Collaborate with production teams and engineers to investigate and resolve quality-related problems.
Provide input for corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Ensure that all products meet industry-specific quality standards and customer specifications.
Identify and document non-conforming parts, initiate non-conformance reports (NCRs), and participate in disposition decisions.
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency in the production process.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant quality control courses preferred.
Proven experience as a quality inspector in precision machining or a related field.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments equipment.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) preferred Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems is a plus.
The hours are Mon-Fri 8AM-4:
30PM with flexibility on schedule.
The pay is $25-$35/hr depending on experience.
