This includes overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with best practices in nursing care. The Director of Nursing also collaborates with other departments to promote a patient-centered approach to care delivery and ensures that nursing staff is adequately trained and equipped to provide the highest level of care possible. Key Responsibilities Responsible for strategic planning, resource management, and process improvement across service groupings. Oversees the implementation of active treatment and nursing care for patients. Manages staffing levels, establishes cost control programs, and implements new programs /services. Establishes quality measures and standards for continuous quality improvement. Develops, maintains , and communicates departmental policies, procedures, and practices. Qualifications & Requirements Education Master's degree in Nursing and two (2) years of managerial experience; or Master's degrees in a related health care or medical service, behavioral or rehabilitative science field and three (3) years of managerial experience . Experience The managerial work experience must come from performing those duties typically associated with an Assistant or Associate Director of Nursing, or Director of Nursing . Experience must be gained exclusively in a mental health setting. Experience in a forensic setting is preferred. Work requires the analytical skills necessary in order to solve technical, clinical, administrative, or managerial problems that require a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline/design relatively complex plans, systems, and programs. Licenses/Certifications Licensed in the state of practice, including at least two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
