Counselor

Location: Shirley, MA. MCI Shirley Medium
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm and one night a week required, 1:00pm-9:00pm.
Pay rate: $52,300-57,530/annually
This is a quick-paced job where flexibility and organizational skills are a necessity. This position consists of group facilitation, individual counseling, paper record keeping as well as computer record keeping, and engagement and involvement in behavior change.

Qualifications:
State certification as a CADC or LADC preferred.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Two years of experience in the chemical dependency field preferred.
Corrections experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The Correctional Recovery Academy (CRA) Counselor is responsible for:
Facilitating psycho-educational groups and provides individual treatment planning to a caseload maintained by the counselor.
Providing counseling services to offenders in the assigned treatment program.
Working closely with Massachusetts Department of Correction (MA DOC) staff to coordinate all program services and provide information for case management/records management as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
